On Saturday morning most of us walked down to the Medina to do some "final" shopping - Andrew had already sussed out the best shops for fezs and pashminas which is what some of us were after. We stayed on Rue des Consuls which is the "artisan" end of the Medina, near the Casbah - this is where you find the best carpets, artwork, scarves, bags, jewellery etc.

After making the required purchases some of the group headed back to the hotel to work and the rest of us (myself, Karen, Mihoko and Austin) went for a walk around the Casbah then back through the Medina up Avenue Mohammed V to try and find a japanese restaurant that had been recommended. We had no luck finding the restaurant but it was a nice walk up a palm-tree lined boulevard.
We went to a nice French restaurant on Saturday night that specialised in crepes. Lovely meal though somewhat ruined by the chain-smoking couples at neighbouring tables. We travelled to and from the restaurant by tram - they have two tram lines here, the red and the blue - very flash new trams, very quick and easy to use.
